Vincent Morello was a fire mechanic for the City of New York for twelve years before being hired as a FDNY firefighter. He served with Engine 283 and then Ladder 35 in Manhattan. Vincent made the supreme sacrifice at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.
This scholarship is awarded to an individual who is NOT a resident of the State of California. Selection of the recipient is made by the Board of Directors of the California Fire Mechanics Academy, Inc. It covers tuition, textbooks and the out-of-state tuition fees.
