The California Fire Mechanics Academy provides training curriculum that allow personnel, who service, maintain, operate and manage fire service and emergency vehicles and equipment, to improve and maintain their knowledge and maintenance abilities and meet certification requirements established by the California State Fire Marshal’s office and other nationally recognized certification organizations.

Since 2008, the California Fire Mechanics Academy, Inc. Board of Directors has worked to be able to provide additional educational opportunities for Emergency Vehicle Technicians beyond the annual CFMA Spring Academy. The Fall Academy has a limited number of classes that are offered in Southern California. The Fall Academy is intended to provide students who are pursuing their California State Fire Mechanic Certification additional opportunities to take more of the required classes therefore expediting their certification process. Not all classes are certification classes and many times there are some Firefighter based classes are offered. Class space is limited and registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
